For hosts

What is BeeDay?

BeeDay is a private photo-sharing space for a kids' party. You create an event, invite the grown-ups who'll be there, and everyone's photos land in one shared gallery — just for your party, just for the people you invited. Think of it as a digital disposable camera you hand to every parent at the door.

How do invites and approvals work?

You share a QR code (or a link) with the parents you want at your party. When someone scans it, they ask to join, and you approve them. Only people you approve can upload photos. Nobody finds your event by browsing or searching — it's invite-only by design.

Do I have to approve every guest?

Yes — that's what keeps your party private. When someone requests to join, you'll see them in your event and can approve with a tap. It only takes a second, and it means only the people you trust are in your gallery.

Do I have to approve every photo too?

Every photo starts as “pending” and waits for your okay before it shows up in the shared gallery. You review them in your event under Photos and approve the ones you want everyone to see. You can also decline any photo you'd rather not keep. You're always in control of what's in your gallery.

What is AI photo scanning, and should I turn it on?

When you create an event, you can choose to turn on optional AI scanning. If you do, uploaded photos and captions are checked by a safety tool that flags anything that may need a closer look, so it's easier for you to spot it while you moderate.

It's a helper for you — it never posts or deletes anything on its own, and you can leave it off. If you leave it off, photos simply aren't sent for scanning. You can change this anytime in your event settings.

How do I share my event with guests?

From your event you'll find a QR code you can show on a phone, print, or drop into a group chat, plus a reception PDF you can print and leave at the party. Guests scan or tap, ask to join, and you approve them.

Can I add BeeDay to my phone's home screen?

Yes. BeeDay runs in your browser — no app store needed — and you can add it to your home screen so it opens like an app. On iPhone, tap the share button in Safari and choose “Add to Home Screen.” On Android, use your browser's menu and choose “Add to Home screen.”

How much does it cost, and how do I upgrade?

BeeDay has a few tiers based on how many photos your event holds. You pick a tier when you set up your event and pay securely through Stripe. If your party fills up, you can upgrade to a larger tier and the photos that were waiting will unlock into your gallery automatically — you only pay the difference.

All prices are in US dollars.

What happens to photos beyond my tier's limit?

If guests upload more than your tier allows, the extra photos wait quietly in the background rather than disappearing. When you upgrade — or if you decline some photos to free up room — the waiting ones move into your gallery, oldest first.

Can I get a refund?

Yes — email us at support@getbeeday.com within 30 days of your purchase, tell us your event name, and we'll refund you in full. We handle refunds by hand, so a real person will sort it out and confirm by email.

If you move down to a smaller tier as part of a refund, any photos beyond the new limit simply lock back out of the gallery — they aren't deleted.

How do I delete a photo or my whole event?

To remove a single photo, decline or delete it from your event's Photos. To delete the whole event, open the Share tab and choose Delete event. Deleting an event permanently removes the event, every photo, and the stored image files — it can't be undone, so do it only when you're sure.

How long are photos kept?

Each plan comes with an active period — the higher the plan, the longer your album stays available. The free plan keeps an album for 12 months; $6.99 keeps it 24 months, $11.99 for 36 months, $17.99 for 60 months, and $29.99 keeps it until you delete it yourself. Prices are on the home page, and you see them again before you pay.

Albums are removed automatically once that period is up — nobody has to ask. We email you before yours closes, about a month ahead and again about a week before, so there is time to download the photos or move up to a longer plan.

You can also delete a photo, or the whole event, yourself at any time — or ask us to. Your plan sets the longest an album stays available; it never stops you deleting sooner.

Is BeeDay safe for my kid's party photos?

That's exactly what we built it for. Your event is invite-only, you approve every guest and every photo, and the gallery is private to your party — there's no public feed and nothing is searchable.

BeeDay is made for parents to use; kids don't have accounts, and we don't collect birthdays, schools, or other details about children. If you ever see something that shouldn't be there, use Report a problem in settings and we'll take it seriously.

Something looks wrong, or someone's in my event who shouldn't be. What do I do?

Email us right away at privacy@getbeeday.com (or use Report a problem in settings) and tell us your event name and what happened. We read every message and we'll help you remove content or access quickly.

For guests

I got a BeeDay invite — how do I join?

Scan the host's QR code or tap their link. You'll be asked to request to join, and the host approves you. Once you're in, you can start adding photos. You don't need to create an account or download anything from an app store.

Why am I waiting to be let in?

BeeDay parties are invite-only, so the host approves each guest. Once they tap approve, you'll be able to upload — it usually only takes a moment. If you've been waiting a while, give the host a nudge.

How do I take and share photos?

Once you're approved, open the camera page in your invite and start snapping. Your photos go to the host to approve, and then they appear in the shared gallery for everyone at the party to enjoy.

Why isn't my photo showing up yet?

Every photo waits for the host's okay before it appears in the shared gallery — it keeps the party's photos in the host's hands. Once they approve it, it'll show up for everyone.

Who can see the photos I upload?

Only the people the host invited to this one event. There's no public feed, nothing is searchable, and your photos aren't shared anywhere outside the party. It's a private gallery for this party only.

How do I save photos to my phone?

Open the photo (or photos) you want and use the save/share option. On an iPhone, this opens the share sheet — tap it and choose “Save Image” to drop the photo into your camera roll. On Android, the same button opens Chrome's share sheet, so pick your gallery or “Save to device”. Saving a few favourites this way works great on a phone.

Can I upload videos?

Not right now — BeeDay is photos only for the moment. Snap as many pictures as you like.

My confirmation or invite link didn't work. What happened?

Sometimes security software (like an antivirus suite) quietly “clicks” links in emails to check them, which can use up a one-time link before you do. If a link seems already-used, ask the host to resend it, and open the new one directly in your browser. If you're still stuck, email us at support@getbeeday.com.

Is my family's information safe?

Yes. BeeDay events are private and invite-only, photos are only seen by the people the host invited, and we don't collect details about children. If you ever want a photo of your child removed, just email privacy@getbeeday.com (or use Report a problem in settings) and we'll take care of it.

How do I leave an event?

Open settings in your invite and choose Sign out of this event. You can always come back by scanning the QR code or using your invite link again.

I need help or want to report something.

Open settings and tap Report a problem, or email us at support@getbeeday.com. Tell us the event name and what happened — we read every message.

Still stuck?

Email support@getbeeday.com for anything about your account, a party or a payment, or privacy@getbeeday.com for privacy and safety. A real person reads both, and we reply within 2 business days.
