Terms of service
Effective date: 6 August 2026
What BeeDay is
BeeDay is a private, invite-only tool for collecting and sharing photos from a child's birthday party. A host (a parent) creates an event; the guests they approve upload photos to that event's album. By using BeeDay you agree to these terms.
Who can use BeeDay
You must be 18 or older to host an event or to join one as a guest. Both hosts and guests confirm they are 18 or older. Children do not have accounts and do not use BeeDay directly.
Where BeeDay is available
BeeDay is offered in Canada (except Quebec) and the United States. We don't currently offer BeeDay to residents of Quebec, and we don't have a French-language version yet — we'd rather say so plainly than half-serve you.
Hosting an event
As a host you are responsible for the event you create, for approving guests, and for moderating the photos that appear in your album. Let your guests know that photos are being collected for the event.
Joining as a guest
Only upload photos you have the right to share. Be respectful of the children and other people who appear in them. Do not upload anything unlawful, harmful, or that infringes someone else's rights.
Your photos and content
You keep ownership of the photos and captions you upload. You give BeeDay permission to store your photos and captions and show them to the people at that event — in its album, and on the photo tasks within it — so the service can work. That permission is only for running your event. Albums are private to the event's approved guests and host: we don't make them public, we don't use them for advertising, and we don't share them with anyone outside the list in our privacy policy.
Acceptable use
Don't use BeeDay to break the law, to harass anyone, or to upload content that is illegal or harmful. A host may optionally turn on automated AI safety scanning for an event; see the privacy policy for how that works. We may remove content or close an event that breaks these terms.
Prices, payments and refunds
Some plans are paid. You pay once for an event — there's no subscription, and nothing renews or charges you again.
Prices are in US dollars (USD). You'll see the price on our pricing page and again before you confirm; the price shown before you confirm is the price you pay. If your card is in another currency, your bank converts it and may add its own fee.
Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details, and no photos are shared with Stripe.
Refunds — a full refund on request, within 30 days. If you're not happy with your purchase, email support@getbeeday.com within 30 days of paying, tell us your event name, and we'll refund you in full. A real person handles it and confirms by email. If a refund moves you to a smaller plan, photos over that plan's limit lock back out of the gallery — they're not deleted.
If something's gone wrong with a charge, please email us before disputing it with your bank. We can almost always fix it faster, and we'd rather fix it.

Privacy
How we handle photos and information about children is described in our privacy policy, which is part of these terms.
The service is provided “as is”
We work hard to keep BeeDay running, but we provide it without warranties. We are not responsible for losses arising from your use of the service, to the extent the law allows.
Changes and ending the service
We may update these terms; we will change the effective date above and, for significant changes, let hosts know by email. You can stop using BeeDay at any time, and a host can delete an event at any time from the Share tab. Event albums also have a limited active period that depends on the host's plan; see “How long we keep information” in the privacy policy. Save any photos you want to keep before an album's active period ends.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada that apply there. If we ever end up in a dispute, it goes to the courts of Ontario. If you're a consumer, this doesn't take away any rights you have under the consumer-protection laws where you live.
